'Hot August Night' event, sponsored by Winnsboro Main Street, Inc.

August 22nd

Great food, entertainment at its best and a one-of-a-kind artwork auction. . . just the beginning of a stellar evening you don't want to miss.

The 'Hot August Night' event, sponsored by Winnsboro Main Street, Inc. in support of future Main Street projects, is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, from 7 until 10 p.m. at the old Post Office, 513 Prairie Street in Winnsboro."

This year's event will feature the Mississippi based rhythm and blues band the "BluyzBoys"; a favorite of the bands showcased at the 2009 Catfish Festival.

In addition to outstanding music, Hot August Night will be THE place to sample some of the best food in Franklin Parish prepared by local cooks. And, the ONLY place to pick up a one-of-a-kind creation designed by area artists just for the event.

This year's artwork will feature frame-able postage stamps depicting some of the history of the area as well as regulation-size mailboxes with unique hand painted designs. Jimbo Stephens is also creating another of his popular fountains for the art auction, and . . . there may be a few additional 'art auction' surprises as well.

Tickets are available from the Main Street Office (435-3781), for $30 per person.
